100-word biography

Faust Whale is an inventor, futurist, and founder of Friendshift, assistive technology for being the friend you mean to be. He began inventing at eight with PaceMate, a simpler system for remote pacemaker battery checks, and later created Needle Beetle to reduce children’s pain and distress during venipuncture. At X, the Moonshot Factory, he proposed and led Qi, a maskless personal clean-air system that reduced respired particulate by up to 90 percent without covering or touching the face. A Stanford graduate and community builder, he explores how technology, behavioral design, and ambitious collaboration can expand human agency, health, and connection.

The current alpha recommends one person to call based on the cadence a user wants for each relationship, reducing the memory, prioritization, and initiation burden of staying in touch.
